Love like flowers

Love like flowers

Love is like a flower— it never truly dies. It seeds and seeds until there are fields and fields. And even when you cannot find the flower, there is always one still there. I hope you are well in this place we have found ourselves. I hope we never give up hope— searching through the fields, pulling the weeds, until we find our flower again. I hope our children come to know that love never dies. I’m not going to lapse again. I feel it, and I’m being honest— this is where awareness lives, and this is where I will stay. This is a poem from me to you. I’ve found who I am again, and now I will show you— how I should have, how I wish I always had— consistently, truly, for you. Even if it feels too late, I owe it to you— and to everyone who helped me become who I am now— to show you how much I care, and who I truly am. So let’s get to know each other again… but this time, without the rush. This time, with the whole of me— honest and true.
